Jerrold Khoo started his love of drink making at the age of 17 in Starbucks before rising through the ranks of the Singapore bar scene to his position as the Bar Manager of Jigger and Pony.
The hotel bar Jigger and Pony this year was awarded the number 1 spot in the Asia 50 Best bar awards and the bar focusses on strong hospitality and classic cocktails with a twist.
Jerrold has been with the team for 7 years and his determination and commitment has been instrumental in the bars fame. We talk about the three keys of a successful bar operation and how his love of music and design helped his bartending career. Jerrold is a passionate and thoughtful leader in the drinks space and it was a delight to talk with him about his love of absinthe and learning the new business model of an effective cocktail delivery service.
